Back in 1983 – when Earth, Wind & Fire, The Police and Michael Jackson were topping Billboard charts – a new organization was founded with the mission of helping as many children as possible. Children’s Miracle Network set out to accomplish this mission by raising funds for children’s hospitals.
At an organization where kids always come first, we are constantly looking for opportunities to encourage healthy lifestyles for children and their families, as well as raise funds for the 170 children’s hospitals that are a part of Children’s Miracle Network. When we learned about Family Dance-off presented by Primrose Schools, it felt like a perfect chance for us to highlight the importance of making an active lifestyle a family tradition.
Children’s Miracle Network employees have made visiting www.FamilyDanceOff.com a guilty pleasure, watching some of the cutest kids we’ve ever seen dance along with their favorite music. Our favorite part of the competition? Underneath each video entry you’ll see the name of the Children’s Miracle Network hospital that will benefit from a generous $30,000 donation from Primrose Schools if that video entry wins the competition.
With the help of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in communities throughout North America, children of all ages and all backgrounds receive treatment for every imaginable disease and injury—from asthma and broken bones to cancer and childhood obesity. In fact, did you know that 17 million children are treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year?
Music has changed over the past 27 years. Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas and the Jonas Brothers are today’s fan favorites (although I think most will agree they still love Michael Jackson’s music), but Children’s Miracle Network has remained consistent. We are just as committed to making a difference in the lives of millions of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals as we were when we first danced onto the scene.
